MY POSITION ON OKUN DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.

MY POSITION ON OKUN DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.
It is heartwarming to see the kind of interest the upcoming ODA election especially that of the President has elicited because our lethargy seem to have taken the backseat.
Chief J. I Olumudi and Bar. Femi Mokikan are both my uncles who I have been fortunate to relate and interact with at levels ranging from business, professional and community development.
We have two outstanding Okun sons who have given their best in their various capacities and are endowed with the intellectual wherewithal, experience and connections for effective and efficient leadership the office they aspire to occupy requires.
These interactions have revealed that it is a win-win situation for Okunland if either of the two becomes the ODA helmsman as we are all part of Okunland and it is from this perspective I urge all of us to view the contest. The time for parochial clannish tendencies are gone and should be dumped in the trash where it rightly belongs because it is neither Owe nor Bunu agenda but Okun agenda.
My sincere prayer is for a peaceful and rancor-free election that will usher in a rebirth for Okunlands’s greatness.
The aspirants should take note that this is a call to duty as the expectations of our people are high from them. May they be granted the enablement to justify the huge confidence reposed in them.
Okun a gbe gha o.                   -  Wemi Jones
