*Faith Alone  is not enough* (4)

2 Peter 1:5-6. *"And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience..."*

There are 7 rungs on the ladder to having an effective Christian faith in all ramification which we must climb with diligence. We've looked at virtue, knowledge, temperance (self control),  and today we're  stepping on the fourth rung, which is Patience.

*Patience is the ability to continue waiting or doing something (strategically) for a long time without becoming angry or anxious*.

The Christian faith of the kingdom, according to Jesus is likened unto that of a farmer  who plant his seeds, and continues nurturing, weeding around it,  patiently waiting for it's growth, maturity and set time for harvest. Based on this ,the Holy Spirit through the Apostle wrote to encourage us using Abraham, the father of faith as our human standard in Hebrews 6:12-15,
*"That you should not be slothful (...in business), but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after he had PATIENTLY ENDURED, he OBTAINED the PROMISE"*.
The Bible patience is not an empty or idle waiting, it is the patience of hope. If you've got no hope, there is no need for patience.

SayWithMe
*I do know that the trying of my faith works patience. I will let patience have her perfect work, that I may be perfect and mature, wanting nothing. I believe that the precious fruit of the earth ( in my business, career, etc) is receiving the early and latter rain. In Jesus name*
