Stephen Orogun, Publisher Forthright Newspaper To Be Buried On 30th May, 2018.

Late Stephen Orogun, Journalist and Publisher of The Forthright Newspaper would be laid to rest on the 30th day of May, 2018.

In a statement issued after a family meeting held yesterday, it announced that the funeral rites would begin on 29th May, 2018, with a wake keep at Ikoyi, Ijumu LGA of Kogi State.

The Funeral Church service would hold on 30th, May, 2018, at Ikoyi, would be followed immediately with interment, and later a reception.

It would be recalled that late Stephen Orogun, veteran and publisher of the forthright newspaper died in the early hours of yesterday.
Until his death, late Orogun was a board member and a legislative aide to the Chief Whip of Kogi State House of Assembly.

The late publisher is an alumnus of university of Ilorin, hails from Ikoyi in Ijumu LGA.
Hon Stephen Orogun, popularly referred to as Onyem was born November 1960 to the family of late Pastor and Mrs Albert Orugun Akanmore family in Aiyebode clan both of his parents are blessed memory.
Late Orogun attended United Primary School Iffe/ Ikoyi, AAMCO Secondary School Okene, is a graduate of English from Unilorin, did his National Youth Service in Jos.
He was at one time Secretary of Ikosu in 1985, and later President between 1987/88.

He was a Honorable Councillor in 2004/06 under PDP, Secretary to the Okun journalist Forum, Senior Legislative Assistant to Hon. Victor  Adewale Omofaiye and also Secretary of Ijumu Aarin Development Association.

Hon Onyem is a Devoted Christian member of Christ Apostolic Church Ikoyi.
He is survived by three Brilliant children,  Gbenga, a 25 year old graduate of Kogi State University, Lucky 21year old student of Federal University of technology Minna in his 400 level and  Blessing 19 year old, also a student of Federal University of technology Minna in 200 level...
