*Praying in the Spirit*

Ephesians 6:18
*Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.*

There are  various kinds of prayer and different rules apply to each but the common denominator to all these kinds of prayer is; they can all be prayed in the Spirit.

Scripturally, to pray in the Spirit is to pray in tongues.
1Cor.14.14 - "For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.
So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind".

Amplified version says it better;
1Cor.14.14 - For if I pray in an [unknown] tongue, my spirit [by the Holy Spirit within me] prays, but my mind is unproductive [it bears no fruit and helps nobody].

One of the greatest historic event happened on the day of Pentecost, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the church. This gave us a multifaceted prayer language that we can use to give thanks well (1Cor 14:16), that builds us up (Jude 1:20) and transforms us. When you've received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, then you can pray in the Spirit this way.
You might be asking how do I go about this, do I just start speaking in tongues and never tell God what I want? No!. For example, I could say, Father in Jesus name, I want to pray out Your Will concerning my career, Holy Spirit help me, give me utterances..., then you switch over to praying in tongues. When you've prayed through, you'll have a note of victory down on your inside.

SayWithMe
*Praying in the Spirit is my advantage, I will maximize this privilege, and I will enjoy the benefits. Glory to God*.
